Here is a MAP that shows where we are (opens a new page). Also, you can always reference the map on our Contact Us page, which also has our adress.
Yes. There is a small carpark on the corner of Karrabee Avenue and Mortimer Lewis Drive, that is (almost) opposite us. There is also street parking available on Karrabee Avenue, Mortimer Lewis Drive and Fryer Place.
If you wish to take public transport, you can use the following:
Ferries leave for Huntleys Point from Circular Quay and from Parramatta - just make sure they stop at Huntleys Point. It is approximately 10-15 minutes walk from Huntleys Point Wharf to Barking at the Moon.
From Karrabee Avenue, if you walk up the stairs between number 2 and number 4 (see picture below) and turn RIGHT and head to the glass doors where there is an intercom. Use the key pad and enter 4001, then push the call (bell) button. We will let you in.
If you need to book a self-test in a hurry and can't book online, call us directly and we will be only too glad to help if we can. Be aware that we usually need to finish filming your self-test at least 2 hours before your submission is due, so we can edit it and deliver it to you or to submit on your behalf before the deadline. If it less than 2 hours before your self-test is due for submission, we will do the best we can, but we can't guarantee to get it done in time. Discuss this with us when you call.
Which session package you should choose will vary considerably between different actors, based on the way the actor likes to work when filming self-tests, and the length of the script(s) they are filming. Some actors will be happy in two or three takes; some will want to keep doing another take trying to do a better one; some scripts are half a page and others are two or three. These are the main factors you will need to think about when choosing.
Our way of helping actors around this issue is we recommend over-estimating the time you think you might need rather than under-estimating it and then we only charge for the time you use to film. So, if you book a 2-hour session and finish in 1 hour, we only charge for the hour you use. Hopefully, this will give you some guidelines and reassurance when choosing the right session for you. If you are still unsure, we are always happy to discuss this with you and even customise a session to suit your needs.
To get the most out of your session, learn any scripts/sides that you have and be warmed-up ready to film when you get here. If you wish us to read for you, it can be helpful to send a copy of your scripts/sides in advance to scripts@barkingatthemoon.com.au, so we can prepare beforehand.
If you haven't sent us a copy of the scripts/sides and you require us to read for you, remember to bring a hard copy of your scripts/sides on the day. Also, if there are one or two small props you'd like to use, then feel free to bring them with you. We have chairs and tables that you can use if required.
By all means. We are only to happy what works best for you.

Generally, we will have your edited self-test video within 2 to 3 hours of your session, which is why we ask that you to leave 2 hours between the end of your filming session and the submission deadline. We block out some time after each filming session to do the editing, and we aim to have your self-test ready by the end of that editing time. So, you might get it a lot sooner than 2 hours, depending on a number of factors based from your filming session.
You can deliver your showreel footage to us for editing by:
E-mailing us a secure, downloadable link using a service such as but not limited to, WeTransfer, Vimeo, OneDrive, etc. (our preferred),
In person to our address as shown on the our website Contact Us page, or
By mail using a portable media device such as a USB drive, which is readable by Windows PC (i.e., formatted to NSTC or exFat) our address as shown on the our website Contact Us page.
When you book your showreel editing with us, we will agree a date and we will deliver your showreel by the agreed date. As a guideline, this generally 1 to 2 weeks.
